Big Bad Termites Can’t Take Out Los Angeles Japantown’s Yagura Tower Because of One Key Factor

The 55 foot Yagura tower was once made out of wood but termites saw to the end of that.

Just like the three little pigs, it came back stronger, not in wood, but in steel. The tower was originally designed by the late architect David Hyun in 1983. The Japanese Village Plaza Fire Tower is a symbol of Little Tokyo Los Angeles.

Termites now don’t stand chance, and only gentrification can take it down.
